The New Manoogian STEAM Center
Our new $2 million state-of-the-art Manoogian STEAM Center will provide our students with a competitive edge through a resource-rich learning facility. When it comes to STEAM subjects, our students are thoroughly engaged with project-based learning, and our educators are committed to encouraging high levels of academic performance. In fact, our students have earned the title of “champions” through their repetitive wins at Robotics and Automotive Engineering team competitions, outperforming other area schools.
Our academic program provides students the opportunity to earn dual degrees and learn through unique hands-on learning programs as part of our internship program, which contributes to our 95% graduation and 95% college acceptance rates. Partnerships with some of the top colleges, universities, and local businesses help ensure our students are ready for both college and career. We ensure the needs of our students are met, contributing to each student’s success. We’ve created a resilient school culture–where students are collaborative and supportive of one another.
Our safe, clean and nurturing environment supports an after-school latchkey program, and extracurricular after-school programs and clubs help develop the whole child. Designed to provide learners with a foundation for success in life, scholars in the Manoogian School Pre-K program are taught skills that they can build on as they advance throughout their academic journey in an environment where students thrive.
Our History
The Armenian General Benevolent Union (A.G.B.U.) Alex & Marie Manoogian School is a nonprofit, coeducational school. We are dedicated to providing our students the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills to become well-rounded contributors to American society while preserving their rich Armenian heritage.
Established in 1969 and chartered by Central Michigan University since 1995, our curriculum follows the Michigan State Board of Education guidelines for all schools. Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on the study of the Armenian language, history, and culture.
The result is a unique educational program that combines Armenian and American cultures. We encourage students to develop a solid cultural and individual identity through a well-balanced curriculum of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, computer science, art, music, and physical education.
The Manoogian School currently offers non-tuition classes for students in grades K-12 and a tuition-based pre-kindergarten program for three and four-year-olds. All cultural identities and ethnicities are welcome.
